The adjustment of fixated joints and muscle response

Some adjustments may provide instant joint relief. Some adjustments may hurt a little bit. And some adjustments may cause you to not feel any different at the moment.

The adjustment is a hands on technique that is used to restore motion to fixated or restricted joints. Some people refer to adjustments as aligning the spine.

Spinal and or extremity joints can become fixated or subluxed due to accidents, injuries or posture. This can lead to chronic pain with sore and tender trigger points and muscles spasms (in acute instances). When joints of the spine or other extremity joints become restricted, that lack of mobility causes the surrounding muscles to have to work harder to make up for that lack of mobility and result in hypertonicity (increase muscle tone) and knots in the muscles. While massage can clear these muscle ailments, temporarily it is important to fix the source of the problem with adjustments. Unfortunately, one adjustment may not resolve the problem and a series of adjustments are necessary. If you’d imagine your restricted joint as a rust hinge that is limited in movement. You have to work at shaking off the rust and repeatedly moving that hinge to restore it to where it has full mobility.
